•  F.C. OLD IS GOLD for 8th East and Central Africa Football Open Championships which will take place from 1st -11th August 2008 in Arusha , Tanzania .

•  F.C. OLD IS GOLD shifts its training base from the Mathare police Deport to Mathari Hospital Ground.

•  OGSY Will be Organizing Clean up activities every first and the last Saturdays of the month at the Mathari Hospital Compounds.

OGSY team departs for the 8th Edition of the East and Central Africa Youth Football Championships.

NAIROBI, July 30th, 2008 – One OGSY team will depart in the morning of 30 th July for the annual 8 th Edition of the East and Central Africa Youth Football Open Championships a day before the kick of the tournament. This will take place in Arusha, Tanzania from the 1st –12th of August. The contingent of 21 members which is led by the Chairman and the founder of OGSY, Mr. James Waithaka, the team will consists of 18 players and 4 officials

During the tournament there will be different activities which will be conducted by both OGSY players and the organizers of the tournament which will focus on HIV/AIDS awareness, Leadership training, Coaches training and Scout, foster and develop grass root youth talents from this sub-region to the required standards. The opening ceremony will be held on 1st of July 2008 at the Sheikh Amari Abeid Stadium in Arusha.
